The new addition tom our library is the commentary on the Book of Proverbs. Written by Rev. Dr. Andrew E. Steinmann , who is a professor of theology and Hebrew at Concordia University Chicago .
Last weekend - October 17-18 - there was LWML Weekend in Zion congregation. This is what Yvonne said: "I did a presentation on the Grant process and the ladies really enjoyed it and have a better understanding of how important those grants are. We planned our next meeting which is Saturday - November 14 at 10:00 and Elaine will present a special "Heaven" program. Everyone has to come to find out what that will be but I know it will be inspiring. We talked more about out Christmas Potluck and how we will maintain social distancing, etc. We will send out fliers soon and anyone who comes will have to RSVP. The potluck is scheduled for Saturday - December 12 @ noon with a special gift exchange. Last Sunday we celebrated LWML Sunday. Every lady who came to church, both 8:00 and 10:30 received a purple or yellow carnation. I gave a brief history of the LWML at both services. It was great!
